We aim to keep you informed as new information that affects our residents and staff materializes in our building regarding COVID-19. Our staff will also verbally notify you.

Both the IDPH and the local health departments have been informed of our confirmed positives. We work with both agencies to prevent and reduce the risk of the virus in accordance with the CDC guidelines. Upon confirmation of the above positive test results, we follow a specific COVID-19 plan and quarantine and isolate residents who have tested positive to their individual apartments. Additionally, we continue to follow our stringent infection prevention measures such as universal masking for our staff, masking requirements for residents while outside of their apartment, the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hand hygiene protocols, social distancing, and multiple screenings for temperature/symptoms of staff during each shift.

This is a time of challenge with visitor restrictions set forth by the IDPH in early March and changing guidelines to accommodate the latest developments affected by the virus. We thank you for your extreme patience and understanding during this time.

Greetings residents, families, and friends of Evergreen Place,

We are happy to report that all COVID-19 mass testing results that were performed on all employees and residents last week were negative. We will continue to test all employees regularly and will keep you posted on results as we receive them.

We remain vigilant in continuing to regularly assess temperatures and signs and symptoms of our residents throughout the day, as well as employees at the start of every shift and mid-shift. Infection control and prevention procedures continue to be common and routine in our community, however, heightened during this time. To attempt to control the spread of the virus, it is our continued recommendation to shelter in place.

We continue to suspend our hospitality services including small group activities and all congregate meals however outdoor visitation will still continue. As our situation changes, we will absolutely re-evaluate when we can safely attempt to introduce those services again. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Please continue to use this page for regular updates; however, I am happy to take your calls and questions if urgent. Rest assured, we have never worked harder to protect your loved ones. We love them too.

We would like to share with you our results from last week’s COVID-19 mass testing that was performed on all residents. We are happy to report all results were negative for our residents! We also conducted COVID-19 mass testing on all employees Tuesday, October 27. We anticipate having results received within 72 hours; however, it could take longer. We will update residents and families when test results are received.

According to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) guidance following the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS), we continue to be in phase 1, which consists of:

PHASE 1:

1. Indoor visitation is prohibited, with the exception of compassionate care visitation.

2. Outdoor visitation may occur in an outdoor space designated by the community. Please contact the community for further information.

3. Virtual visitation is available to all residents via several video conferencing platforms.

4. Compassionate care visitation is considered on a case-by-case basis.

5. Beauticians/Barbers are not permitted

Because we have paused all communal meals and small group activities, the need for emotional, spiritual, and social support is great. We encourage you to spread the word to your family, friends, church groups, volunteers, neighbors: please give your loved ones who reside at Evergreen a call! We are also happy to deliver mail, pictures, letters, email messages, and cards to brighten our residents’ day!

Greetings residents, families, and friends,

It’s been a while since our last communication, and we want to share some updates for Evergreen Place Litchfield. We conducted mass testing last week on all of our residents and employees, and we’re happy to report that all of our resident test results came back negative. Unfortunately, we do have to report that one employee’s results came back positive, and they are currently self-isolating at home. Privacy laws prevent us from sharing details with you, the team member’s names, areas of the building, etc. Thank you for your understanding as we preserve our team members’ privacy and dignity.

Per the guidance of the Heritage Operations Group COVID-19 task force who follows the CDC, IDPH, and CMS recommendations, we will be conducting mass testing on all of our residents and employees at the end of this week. Evergreen Place’s licensed nurses will conduct these tests. We anticipate having results within 72 hours; however, it could take longer. We will update residents and families when test results are received.

At this time, we continue to follow the direction of the Montgomery County Health Department, and it is their continued recommendation to sheltering in place to attempt to control the spread of the virus.  For our residents, this means staying in their apartment. We will continue to screen temperatures of residents throughout the day, as well as employees at the start of shift and mid-shift. Infection control and prevention procedures are common and routine in our community, however, heightened during this time.  We ask for your assistance in emphasizing the importance of this measure with your loved one through your calls, virtual visits, and emails. They love hearing from you!

All hospitality services will continue to be suspended at this time, including outdoor visitation, small group activities, etc. As our situation changes, we will re-evaluate when we can safely attempt to introduce those services again.  Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Greetings residents, families, and friends,

We want to update everyone about some recent changes that have happened at Evergreen Place.

Although we do not currently have an active COVID outbreak in our community, the Montgomery County Health Department has recommended that we temporarily suspend our current hospitality services. This is due to the increased COVID positive cases in the surrounding Montgomery County.

These hospitality services include small group activities and outdoor visitation. Please be confident we continue to meet the essential needs of the seniors in our community. As our situation changes and until the Montgomery County Health Department deems it safe to re-introduce, we will continue to shelter in place. For our residents, this means staying in their apartments. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

We ask for your assistance in emphasizing the importance of this measure with your loved one through your calls, virtual visits, and emails. They love hearing from you!
