Lisa AbramCarol Ricken, Administrator

Carol’s career has focused on operations management.  She stumbled up the senior living industry, and 14 years later, says it has been a very rewarding field.  It has been Carol’s honor and privilege to serve the residents and their families, developing friendships along the way.  Carol is a certified dementia care manager and has served as a committee and board member for Leading Age Illinois.  She enjoys being part of a large family, gardening, and bicycle riding: RAGBRAI has been her greatest biking adventure.

Lisa AbramLisa Abram, Legacy Coordinator

Lisa worked in skilled nursing in roles from CNA to bookkeeper, HR, admissions coordinator, and dementia unit manager. From skilled care, she moved to assisted living, where she continued her work in dementia care. For Lisa, working with seniors is more than just a career; it’s a calling. She’s worn many hats throughout her years in the healthcare industry, but transitioning to the realm of assisted living and memory care has been especially rewarding; she loves relationships built-in long-term care. As the coordinator of Evergreen Senior Living the Legacy, Lisa feels blessed to work for a company that genuinely cares for their seniors and staff members. Lisa attended Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is also a certified dementia practitioner. She is the oldest of five, born and raised in Ohio. Lisa, her husband Larry, and their fur babies currently live in Downers Grove. In her spare time, she enjoys serving as a CCD teacher with her parish, scrapbooking, reading, cooking, traveling, and volunteering.

 

Joelle BeranekJoelle Beranek, Community Relations Liaison

Joelle’s theater degree from Northwestern University prepared her for a range of roles in event planning, marketing, sales, and customer engagement. Her heart is warmed to know Evergreen Senior Living provides a social, supportive home for its residents. Joelle welcomes each new family to Evergreen with open arms! On the weekends, you’ll find Joelle exercising her passion for wellness while competing in triathlons and training for her next marathon. She enjoys sewing and reading to relax. Joelle lives in her hometown of Lemont with her husband, three energetic kids, and a dog.

 

Megan EdwardsMegan Edwards, Life Enrichment Coordinator

Megan is one of five girls, and her youngest sister has Down syndrome. Therefore, she has always had a passion for helping others. Megan graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreational Therapy. Megan began her career working for a special recreation park district in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, where she provided recreational programming and special events to all ages of individuals with disabilities. In her free time, Megan is a health and fitness coach, so she enjoys working out and cooking new recipes! Megan also enjoys playing sports, being outside, and binge-watching Netflix shows. Megan prides herself on her compassion and team-centered attitude.



Megan EdwardsCrystal Barahas, Administrative Services Coordinator

With a background in Human Resources Management in both the hospitality and the health care industries, Crystal has acquired a well-rounded sense of providing exceptional services for those in need for over 20 years. Crystal’s first role in healthcare management affirmed her need to work for an organization that provides exceptional services to individuals. Having senior grandparents and caring for her own mother has made Crystal appreciate and strive for excellence for our seniors even more. Crystal is from the sunny state of California, and she currently lives in Plainfield, Illinois.  Crystal is married to her childhood sweetheart and has 5 amazing children, one granddaughter, and a tea cup Yorkie. In her spare time she loves spending time with family, attending her sons’ football and basketball games, watching her daughter’s ballet, camping, hiking, crafting, and party planning.

Tony GlavasTony Glavas, Culinary Services Coordinator

In the health care field for over four years, Tony found his niche with Evergreen Senior Living as the Culinary Services Coordinator. The best part of his job is making sure the residents eat well, live well, and engage with one another daily. Tony is proud of his wife, Diane, and together they have two kids, two grandchildren, and two dogs, Brody and Cooper. Tony is a self-proclaimed foodie, wine collector, and golfer. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and relaxing.

 

Mark CrowleyMark Crowley, Building Services Coordinator

Mark did electrical work as an outside contractor before joining the team at Evergreen Senior Living in January of 2016. The best part about Mark’s job at Evergreen Senior Living is, “Hands down – the people!” He believes the residents and staff are second to none. When he’s not working away at Evergreen Senior Living, Mark has a wonderful wife and four talented children that he enjoys hanging out with. Mark also enjoys golfing, reading a good book, and woodworking.
